I definitely didn't think about the future as a real thing in my 20s - maybe not really until I was into my 40s! And I love "spontaneous notion, like a tattoo" lol
Thanks for reading/commenting, Fran, and thank you for the chuckle lol It's amazing how many of us made major decisions in our 20s...but that was the way back then lol
I got married at 32 and when I imagine myself having got married right out of college, it seems like I might as well have been thirteen or fourteen. That's just me - everybody's different of course - but 23 sure seems young from my age today.
No. No, it’s not just you lol 23 is definitely akin to 13-14, even more so today LOL I told my husband we were literal babies; he disagrees, but I maintain, 23 is too young to do all the things.
I was 26 when I married the first time—everyone was doing it and I was one of the last in the group I was in at the time to do so. The second time, I was 52, not desperate or seeking validation—so it was a different decision altogether. We have a prenup—cause your eyes are a lot more adjusted to reality at this point in life, LOL!
Girl! I always say if I would’ve waited to get married, I probably just would’ve never done it 🫣, but if I did? I’d be more like you. It would look totally different.
